About Natasha

Natasha has undertaken a key role in establishing and expanding the Private Client team at GN Law. Natasha specialises in advising on all aspects of drafting wills and codicils, probate, intestacies, post-death tax planning, trusts and inheritance tax mitigation. Natasha has dealt with a range of complex probate matters including estates with a cross-border element, estate assets bequeathed to the state in lieu of tax and matters which have progressed to contentious probate litigation. This gives her a unique insight into a wide range of issues, particularly those facing elderly, incapacitated and vulnerable clients. Natasha has particular expertise in cases involving capacity issues. Her caseload also provides her with relevant expertise and insight into physical and mental health diagnoses, assessment of care needs and funding arrangements for the same.

Natasha is regularly instructed by the Office of the Official Solicitor to represent incapacitated adults who are the subject of Court of Protection proceedings concerning their health, welfare and liberty.

Natasha takes on cases both on a legal aid and privately paying basis.   A summary of Natasha’s expertise is as follows: -

Reported Cases

Natasha represented RM in this case and was instructed by the Official Solicitor. RM (a US citizen) with profound learning disabilities, had been removed by his father from England & Wales to the United States in contravention of an order from the Family Court. The case highlighted the real and problematic difference between the ability of the English courts to protect adults removed from this jurisdiction as compared to their ability to protect children.

Personal Interests and Activities

Natasha enjoys running, reading (and is part of the GN Book Club), travelling, anything to do with Tudor history and long drinks.
